Sevilla Unveils Nasri; Stoke City Unveils Bony
Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony has joined Stoke City on loan for the rest of the season.
Bony – a £28m signing from Swansea in January 2015 – was at Stoke’s training ground on Wednesday morning ahead of agreeing to join Mark Hughes’ side.Hughes told the club website: “Bringing Wilfried in was a no-brainer for us to be perfectly honest, because he knows the Premier League and has scored plenty of goals at this level. He has power, speed and very good physical attributes which will undoubtedly help us, and his technical and finishing skills are outstanding too”.
Bony made his club debut just hours after signing – in a friendly behind closed doors – and the striker later spoke to Sky Sports as he left the training ground.”It’s a good club with a lot of good players so I’m happy to join the team,” Bony said. “You see that I’ve already started training and I’m excited to see more of the team next week and start properly.”I spoke a lot with my agent [about leaving Manchester City] and we tried to close it today. One week ago he told me about Stoke and it was the best choice for me.
Samir Nasri has joined Sevilla from Manchester City on a season-long loan. The France international made just 12 Premier League appearances for Manchester City last season in what was an injury-hit campaign, scoring two goals. He has completed his medical and will spend the remainder of this season with the La Liga club.
